Presentamos el caso de una mujer que acude a urgencia por dolor torácico y disnea. Inicialmente se sospecha un tromboembolismo pulmonar pero en angioTC tórax se observa gran lesión quística en lóbulo hepático derecho. Serología equinococo fue positiva. Fue diagnosticada de gran quiste hidatídico con buena evolución tras tratamiento quirúrgico y médico con albendazol.

We report the case of a woman admitted at the emergency services for chest pain and dyspnea. The initial suspicion was of pulmonary embolism but the chest CT angiography showed a large cystic lesion in the right hepatic lobe. Serological tests for echinococcosis showed positive results. The patient was diagnosed with large hydatid cyst with good results after surgical and medical treatment with albendazole.
