La tiflitis es una enterocolitis característica de pacientes inmunodeprimidos y afecta al ciego e íleon terminal. Ocurre como resultado de una lesión en la mucosa de un huésped con deterioro del sistema inmune.
Presentamos un caso de enterocolitis neutropénica (EN) o tiflitis, su evolución y los hallazgos por imagen, resaltando la importancia de reconocerlos para realizar un diagnóstico diferencial adecuado y así aplicar el tratamiento más conveniente.

Typhlitis is a characteristic enterocolitis of immunosuppressed patients and it affects the cecum and terminal ileum. It occurs as a result of a injury in the mucosa in a patient with deterioration of the immune system.
We present a case of neutropenic enterocolitis (EN) or typhlitis, its evolution and the imaging findings, highlighting the importance of recognizing them to perform an adequate differential diagnosis and thus apply the most convenient treatment.
