Patología hepática en el paciente inmigrante

Resumen

Debido a los movimientos migratorios de las últimas décadas, España ha pasado de ser un país emigrante a recibir una gran cantidad de población inmigrante. Este proceso ha afectado a todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, incluido al campo de la salud. Por ello consideramos que es importante conocer las características especiales que puede presentar esta población a nivel sanitario. Desde el punto de vista de la patología hepática infecciosa vamos a realizar una revisión sistemática de algunos temas de interés como son: la afectación hepática por la infección crónica por esquistosoma y la posibilidad de coinfección con el virus de la hepatitis B. El cribado de enfermedades infecciosas en pacientes que se van a tomar corticoides o se van a inmunodeprimir; y por último haremos referencia a las características de la hepatitis B crónica según los diferentes genotipos, centrándonos en el genotipo E.

Abstract

Due to the migratory movements of the last decades, Spain has gone from being a migrant country to receiving a large amount of immigrant population. This process has affected all areas of society, including the field of health. Therefore, we consider it important to know the special characteristics that this population can present at the health level. From a perspective of the infectious liver pathology, we will carry out a systematic review of some interest topics such as: liver involvement due to chronic infection by schistosome and the possibility of coinfection with the hepatitis B virus. Screening for infectious diseases in patients who they will take corticosteroids or they will take immunosuppress drugs; and finally we will refer to the characteristics of chronic hepatitis B according to the different genotypes, focusing on the genotype E.
