Fístula biliopulmonar en paciente con pancreatitis crónica

Bronchobiliary fistula in patient with chronic pancreatitis.


Resumen

La fístula biliobronquial (FBB) se define como el paso anómalo de la bilis al bronquio y la presencia de bilioptisis es un signo patognomónico de la misma. El manejo suele ser difícil y a menudo se asocia con una alta mortalidad.

Presentamos el caso de un paciente con cirrosis enólica y pancreatitis crónica en el que se diagnostica una fístula biliopulmonar.

Abstract

Bronchobiliary fistula (BBF) is defined as the pathological communication between the biliary tract and the bronchial tree and the presence of biliptysis (bile in the sputum) is a pathognomonic sign of it. Management is usually difficult and is often associated with high mortality.

We report a case of a patient with alcoholic liver cirrhosis and chronic pancreatitis, who is diagnosed with a bronchobiliary fistula.
